Beliefs

What we believe and practice:
- That
the Bible is the inspired Word of God,
and our infallible guide for living.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; I Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
- That God is One, manifested in three distinct persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit being co-equal.
(Phil 2:6)

- That Man is a created
being made in the image of God; through Adam’s fall, sin entered the
world; salvation is God’s free gift of grace to mankind through faith in Jesus
Christ and His shed blood; in dying for our sins, Jesus took our place,
delivered us from the bondage and penalty of sin, and restored us back to God.
(Rom 5:12-15; 3:10, 3:23; 1 John 3:8)
- That
the first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that leads to repentance,
which leads to a confession of faith in Jesus Christ and produces the “new
birth.”
(2 Corinthians 5:17; I John 5:12; John 3:5)
- The water baptism is by
immersion, and is for Believers only as a sign of commitment, obedience
and identity with Christ. (Acts 8:36-38; Matt. 28:19; Romans 6:4; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:12)
- Communion is observed
each Sunday in remembrance of a new covenant that provides forgiveness of sin
and healing for our bodies. The bread and cup represent the body and the blood
that was given for all mankind. (Matthew 26:26-28; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
- The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is available to all believers. (Matt.
3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8, 2:38-39; 19:1-7)
- That
sanctification is a definite but progressive work of grace.
(Heb. 12:14; I Thess. 5:23; 2
Peter 3:8; 2 Cor. 3:18; Phil. 3:12-14)
- That
divine healing and health has been provided through the atonement made by Jesus
Christ and is the privilege of every member of the Church today.
(Isaiah 53:4-5; I Peter 2:24; Mark 16:18; James 5:14-15; Matt. 8:17; 2 Peter
1:2-4)
- That Jesus will return for His Church, those whose names are written in the Lamb’s
Book of Life will be resurrected to live with the Lord forever. (Matthew 24:30-31; Revelation 20:12-15)
- That those who die in sin without accepting Jesus are eternally lost and will forever
be separated from God. (Luke 16:19-31; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20, 20:12-15)
